Vintage ? Unique Shell MOP ? Bead Seahorse Necklace & Earrings Set Lot Artisan

This listing has been updated on 10/26.  Update involves the measurement of the necklace, please read.  I also added a couple more pictures of it on the display bust as it might look different depending on the size of your neck.
This unique seahorse and shell necklace and earrings set is in great condition.  I'm not sure if it's vintage or not, it looks like it would be to me.  This definitely looks like an artisan set, definitely doesn't look like something that would've been mass produced.  The shell center piece on the necklace is beautiful with multiple different colors coming through.  On top of the shell piece are two Seahorses.
I honestly don't know if these and the earrings are real Seahorses that have been plated in gold Tone or something else.  The reason I think they might be real is they are very lightweight and they are all different shapes.  I have looked this set up multiple times over the years.  I have never found anything like it but I did come across someone selling real gold color plated Seahorse earrings at one point.   The Seahorses on the dangle earrings do have some discoloration in places. Please see pictures.  I took a picture with one on to help show the size.  One earring is a little bit larger than the other.
The necklace:  The shell piece with the Seahorses is in great condition with some minor scratches. The round  gold tone beads right above it, I believe, are plastic.  I'm pretty sure the graduated shell beads are mother of Pearl.  They're very pretty. They have some kind of swirl around each one and look like they were hand cut or carved to me because they are not perfectly round.  Some beads have natural imperfections.  In between are tiny yellow glass seed beads. It is around 20" long.  I measured both sides of the beads and across the top of the top of the shell to get this measurement.  It has a spring ring clasp so if you wanted to use an extender you could.
