    Description

19th Century Rockingham glaze pitcher, of a type made at Bennington Vermont and elsewhere.
One side decorated with deer, the other side with eagles and a leaping hound.  The spout is an old man face, below it a sign says XXX ALE.
Overall good condition, with a small chip on the nose of the hound handle.  Appears to have originally had a lid, which is now missing.
Measures 9 1/8" tall to the top of the handle.
