1996 BEAUTY & THE BEAST PAUL CARDEW TEAPOT In ORIGINAL BOX
This listing is for a Beauty and The Beast themed teapot, made in 1996, in the original box, designed by Paul Cardew. A variety of Disney-themed teapots were sold at the now-defunct Disney Gallery stores in the early-mid 1990s. Designed by Paul Cardew Designs in the U.K., these limited edition items were made in England and shipped to the USA as part of the "Disney Showcase" Collection. This hand-painted B &TB teapot features Mrs. Potts and her son Chip. I measures approximately 7.5 inches from handle to spout, 6.75 inches high and 3.5 inches deep. The removable top depicts Chip and Mrs. Potts standing on the Beast's stove (which is also an animated character). The teapot is numbered a very low #954 of only 5,000.  In mint condition, with no chips, stains or scratches. It was displayed in our house for a few years  It stands well, with no tipping. It was never used as a teapot, only as a decoration, so no worries about food allergens!
It comes with its original box, which is in very, very good condition . The teapot has been displayed and stored in a temperature controlled, non-smoking, child-free home.
