Rare 1940's Gund Plush SHMOO Doll w/ Tag, Original Hat and Bow + Al Capp Book

Description

Preowned. Various degrees of discoloration of white throughout. Mohair is decreased in areas more than others. There are no overt or significant areas of baldness. The mohair is rougher to the touch in areas.
Faded blue felt accessories and fading of black on face. Prick holes into leather on the head. The safety pin is not used to pin the bowtie to the Shmoo only to hold the end of the felt pieces together on the back. The Gund tag is securely attached. An area of stitching underneath (~1”) between legs is inconsistent with stitching nearby, presumably a repair. The book is a Pocket Book, The Life and Times of The Shmoo by Al Capp and published in 1948. It is in good condition. The first page inside has two faint plus signs in colored pencil. Spine is tight but imperfect. See the photos. About halfway through the book, pages hang out further. No pages are missing and none are loose or torn. Please ask for any more details if needed.
