NEW - Open Box - Caron NASCAR Racing Logo Rug Latch Hook Kit 15" x 20" - #NC5508

NEW open box vintage Caron brand latch hook kit, date unknown but I'm guessing it would have maybe been circa the late 1990s or early 2000s
.  The kit includes everything you need to hook a 15" by 20" (rectangular, longer ends on the top and bottom) rug / mat / wall hanging of the familiar multi-color NASCAR racing logo.  Caron also made a number of kits for specific drivers (including Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon) during that time.  The kit comes in the original box with original labels, but the box has been opened for the purposes of inspection and taking pictures.  The outside of the packaging has some significant wear from years of normal moving and storage.  The kit as a whole bears Caron article #NC5508.  The kit did not originally come with a latch hook itself, but I have included a brand new, unopened one with the package for ease of use.  It is Wrights part #347437.
Altogether, the kit includes the following items:
Original box and labels
Instruction brochure with color key / pattern
Latch hook
Color-coded rug backing
10 bound bundles of pre-cut yarn totaling the following:
White (#4001) - 1,495 strands
Red (#4580) - 752 strands
Raspberry (#0682) - 71 strands
Black (#4099) - 1,610 strands
Gold (#0142) - 132 strands
Blue (#4660) - 140 strands
This kit was passed along to me by a family member, and while I am a NASCAR fan, I have no interest in completing it.  Therefore, I have no use for this, and offer it up here.
The kit is in NEW, open box condition cosmetically - and appears to be in excellent condition functionally and in terms of completeness.
As mentioned previously, the original box and labels are present, but have been opened for the purposes of inspection and taking pictures.  The box is mostly crisp and in good shape, but the label covering the box has a significant amount of wear, wrinkling, and a few tears - as well as some tape.  This label is still complete and readable, however.  The contents of the box are in fine shape.  The latch hook tool is still sealed in its original bag, and is intact with no rust.  All 10 bundles of pre-cut yarn are present and accounted for, and appear to be complete.  Colors still appear to be vivid, without any fading.  The instruction brochure is crisp, with maybe a slight bit of yellowing and wrinkling from age.  There are no tears in the brochure.  The rug backing appears intact, with no damage, but the folds are well set in place.  There are no funky smells in general, nor any moisture damage or related smells.  The entire kit appears ready for you to complete at your leisure and to your liking.
The box will be secured with rubber bands to keep it from opening during shipping.
