Description
Description:A sculpture by the American potter David Gil (1922-2002) for Bennington Potters. Marked "Bennington Potters Vermont" to the exterior of the head, this stoneware sculpture depicts a head made of two halves with round eyes and a leather tongue. The two stoneware halves are attached to a piece of translucent acrylic that is attached to a rectangular wooden base.
Measurement:
7.5” x 19” x 8”.
Condition notes:
Some wear to the acrylic and wood. There is a nick in the pottery on the side of the nose. Other minor wear present.
