Cardew Collectible Teapots
Unique and imaginative Teapots by Paul Cardew, one of the world’s pre-eminent designer and producer of such collectibles.
Cardew Teapots are handcrafted in England by sculpting of fine details, three kiln firings, and hand painting, then finished with Paul Cardew’s signature and a unique identification number on the base.  It takes 8 days for the highly skilled workforce to complete each pot.  Many pieces are decorated with special precious metal lusters including 18ct gold and silver.
Cardew Teapots are designed to make real tea, though due to their intricate details, are not suitable for everyday use.  Not suitable for dishwasher or microwave.
We will be selling several designs from an avid Cardew collector.  They are in excellent condition, any defects or damages will be pictured and we will make every effort to inspect and note any damage or imperfection we detect.  Sometimes glare or reflections appear in the photos of glazed items that can be mistaken for a chip...Please inquire if you have any questions, as we will document actual chips in the description if there are any.
As with all hand-painted items, variations can occur from piece to piece and are not considered defects.
About Shipping rates:
Ebay calculates the rate based on the weight and measurements of the package.
Carriers charge A LOT to ship large boxes, especially if you are far from us -- shipping costs are out of our control. If the shipping is too high to your location, we encourage you to find a seller closer to you, as the shipping cost for the same size package would be less from closer proximity.
**If we are able to secure a better rate than calculates for you, we will offer you a shipping discount, we may be able to get a better UPS rate than ebay quotes**
We are happy to ship by any method you wish if you can find a cheaper rate, just let us know!
A handling charge is added to the shipping cost to cover packing materials and insurance in the event the item is damaged or lost in transit.
COVID SHIPPING IMPACT:  Please be patient with USPS shipping.  Our main hub in Philadelphia has been backlogged, we have experienced some packages that get "stuck" there for several days up to 2 weeks.  Sometimes the package is not scanned at pickup, rest assured that if we upload tracking information, the package leaves here within 1 day, even if the pickup doesn't reflect in tracking.  Tracking will catch up once the next scan point is reached.  If you are in a rush, I recommend choosing UPS to be safe.
