Bennington Potters Vermont Black on Green 1.5 qt. Mixing Batter Bowl #1880

Description

This Bennington Potters, Vermont #1880 1.5 quart batter bowl is in the "black on green" glaze, also referred to by some as "green agate". It measures approximately 9" long from spout to handle x 7.75" wide x 5" tall and is in very good-to-excellent condition with filled in glaze pops typical of this glaze. Worth mentioning: A cluster of three small glaze pops is on the interior of the bowl (see photo) and
there is also one glaze pop on the outer top side rim which can be felt as there is a small raised portion of glaze (I looked under a loupe; it is not a chip, but rather a glaze pop in a thickly glazed area - see photo 7).
The bowl has a roughly made edge on the bottom unglazed rim portion which is visible in the photos. The bowl has no chips, cracks, scratches, or crazing. It looks unused. This does look like an older example of the bowl, but I'm not an expert.
