    Description

BENNINGTON POTTERS DAVID GIL BLUE SPONGE WARE COFFEE POT MID-CENTURY MODERN
    c. 1976
Coffee Pot is 9.5" high with lid. Purchased new in 1976, pot was only used occasionally and wear is consistent with light use. Pot is very sturdy, weighs nearly 2.5 lbs with lid. Excellent vintage condition, no chips or dings with the exception of the lid which is missing the lip that holds it in place when pouring out the last drop (see photo). This is not visible with lid in place. It was damaged when purchased. Pot has a narrow base which widens toward the top, however even with the long protruding spout, it is perfectly balanced. This is a functional piece of art and always gets lots of comments whether it is used or just displayed.
