    Description

    ANTIQUE BENNINGTON POTTERY MUG W/FROG INSIDE.  Very unusual.  Rockingham glaze tankard has scene of farmers with a design of twining grape leaves.  Measures 4" tall and 4" in diameter.  THE REAL SURPRISE is the frog in the bottom!  Excellent condition.  Very slight wear on part of lip.
    I have not found another documented example of this style, and it is unmarked, so it may not be "Bennington."  It is however of the period and a very interesting piece, exhibiting fine workmanship.
