    Description

This delightful little Rockingham glazed yellow ware bank probably date around the time when P.T. Barnum found the elephant mascot "Jumbo" for his "Greatest Show on Earth" in 1880. The elephant became such a success (especially for children) that pieces like this were created in that era.  Our bank is in excellent condition with no notable breaks or chips and just the usual wear and crazing to be expected on a piece of this age.  The piece is 5" long x 3" tall x 2" deep.  It is unmarked.
